Mahabharata 7.175.10Drona Parva, Adhyaya 175, Shloka 10

दृष्टवा विनिर्जित युद्धे पार्षत॑ ते महारथा: । अमर्षवशमापतन्ना: पठचाला: सहसोमका:

dṛṣṭvā vinirjitaṃ yuddhe pārṣataṃ te mahārathāḥ | amarṣavaśam āpannāḥ pāñcālāḥ saha-somakāḥ ||

Sañjaya sprach: Als sie sahen, dass Dhṛṣṭadyumna, der Sohn Pṛṣats, in der Schlacht besiegt worden war, wurden jene großen Wagenkrieger der Pāñcālas samt den Somakas von brennender Empörung ergriffen. Mit Waffen aller Art gerüstet und bereit, ihr Leben zu verpfänden, stürmten sie auf Karṇa zu, fest entschlossen, ihn zu vernichten.
