The verse highlights how martial power and outward bravado can drive escalation in war: the king’s son advances with overwhelming display, reminding the listener that in the Mahābhārata battlefield, choices fueled by pride and hostility intensify suffering and bind one more tightly to the consequences of adharma.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that his son advances toward the Pāṇḍava forces; the chariot’s roar echoes in all directions and the earth seems to tremble, emphasizing the immediacy and ferocity of the impending clash.
