बह्नबद्धमकर्ण्य च चापलादपरीक्षितम्‌ | 'सूतपुत्र! तेरी बुद्धि बहुत ओछी है। इसीलिये तू चपलतावश बिना जाँचे-बूझे बहुत-सी न सुननेयोग्य असम्बद्ध बातें बक जाया करता है

bahnabaddham akarṇya ca cāpalād aparīkṣitam |

Sañjaya sprach: „Als er Rede vernahm, die zusammenhanglos und schlecht gefügt war—aus Unbeständigkeit hervorgestoßen und ohne Prüfung—tadelte er sie als des Hörens unwürdig und wies auf den sittlichen Fehltritt hin, hastig und ohne Unterscheidung zu sprechen.“
