यदवोचोडप्रियं भीम॑ नैतत् सत्यं वचस्तव । 'तूने युद्धमें संलग्न, श्रेष्ठ व्रतके पालनमें तत्पर, पराक्रमी और शूरवीर भीमसेनके प्रति जो अप्रिय वचन कहा है, तेरा यह कथन ठीक नहीं है
sañjaya uvāca | yad avoco 'priyaṃ bhīma naitat satyaṃ vacas tava |
Sañjaya sprach: „Die harten Worte, die du zu Bhīma gesprochen hast, sind nicht wahr. Solche Rede ist ungehörig—zumal, wenn sie gegen Bhīmasena gerichtet ist, der im Kampf steht, in edlen Gelübden standhaft ist und durch Tapferkeit und Heldentum berühmt.“
