न तुल्यं वृष्णिभिरिह दृश्यते किंचन प्रभो । भूतं भव्यं भविष्यच्च बलेन भरतर्षभ,शक्तिशाली भरतश्रेष्ठ! भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य कोई भी जगत् बलमें वृष्णिवंशियोंके समान नहीं दिखायी देता
na tulyaṃ vṛṣṇibhir iha dṛśyate kiṃcana prabho | bhūtaṃ bhavyaṃ bhaviṣyac ca balena bharatarṣabha ||
Sañjaya sprach: „O Herr, hier ist überhaupt nichts zu sehen, das den Vṛṣṇis gleichkäme. O Stier unter den Bharatas, an Stärke — ob in Vergangenheit, Gegenwart oder Zukunft — erscheint in der Welt niemand dem Geschlecht der Vṛṣṇis vergleichbar.“
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the Mahābhārata’s recurring theme that true power in war is not merely individual prowess but also the collective might and reputation of a righteous and capable lineage; it frames the Vṛṣṇis as an unsurpassed standard of strength across time.
Sañjaya, narrating events to the king, offers an emphatic appraisal: he declares that no one—past, present, or future—matches the Vṛṣṇis in strength, heightening the sense of awe around their role and influence in the unfolding battle narrative.
