तस्य तल्लाघवं दृष्ट्वा द्रोण: क्षत्रियमर्दन: । व्यसृजत् सायकांस्तूर्ण शतशो5थ सहस्रश:,उसकी वह फुर्ती देखकर क्षत्रियोंका संहार करनेवाले द्रोणाचार्यने शीघ्र ही उसपर सैकड़ों और सहस्रों बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी
tasya tallāghavaṁ dṛṣṭvā droṇaḥ kṣatriyamardanaḥ | vyasṛjat sāyakāṁs tūrṇaṁ śataśo ’tha sahasraśaḥ ||
Sañjaya sprach: Als Droṇa, der Bezwinger der Krieger, diese Gewandtheit sah, ließ er sogleich einen Sturm von Pfeilen los—Hunderte, ja Tausende—um jene Kraft im Toben der Schlacht zu zügeln.
