Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the intensification of violence: when power meets power without restraint, destruction multiplies. Ethically, it points to the need for self-control and discernment, since unchecked hostility turns even instruments into agents of blazing harm.

During a mace-combat episode, the two combatants’ maces collide. The impact throws off sparks as if fire were released, and the maces then drop to the ground, emphasizing the ferocity of the duel.
