पज्चाला हि जिधघांसन्तो द्रोणं संहृष्टचेतस: । अभ्यमुजञ्चन्त गर्जन्त: शरवर्षाणि मारिष,माननीय नरेश! पांचाल-सैनिक द्रोणको मार डालनेकी इच्छासे प्रसन्नचित्त होकर गर्जना करते हुए उनके ऊपर बाणोंकी वर्षा करने लगे
Pañcālā hi jighāṃsanto Droṇaṃ saṃhṛṣṭacetasaḥ | abhyamuñcanta garjantaḥ śaravarṣāṇi māriṣa, mānanīya nareśa ||
Sañjaya sprach: „O ehrwürdiger König, die Pāñcālas, entschlossen, Droṇa zu erschlagen, mit jubelndem Sinn, brüllten auf und überschütteten ihn mit Pfeilschauern.“
