Chapter 89: Bhīma dispatched to protect Ghaṭotkaca amid escalating engagements
उन दोनों महारथियोंने बड़ी उतावलीके साथ धृष्टद्युम्नके घोड़ोंको मारकर उन्हें भी अपने बाणोंकी वर्षासे ढक दिया ।। अवलप्लुत्याथ पाज्चाल्यो रथात् तूर्ण महाबल: । आरुरोह रथं तूर्ण सात्यकेस्तु महात्मन:,तब महाबली धृष्टद्युम्न तुरंत ही अपने रथसे कूदकर महामना सात्यकिके रथपर शीघ्रतापूर्वक चढ़ गये
sañjaya uvāca |
āvaplutyātha pāñcālyo rathāt tūrṇaṃ mahābalaḥ |
āruroha rathaṃ tūrṇaṃ sātyakestu mahātmanaḥ ||
(tadā) tau mahārathī mahāvegau dhṛṣṭadyumnasya hayān hatvā tam api svabāṇavarṣaiḥ samantāt ācchādayām āsa tuḥ ||
Sañjaya sprach: Die beiden großen Wagenkämpfer handelten in dringender Eile, erschlugen Dhrishtadyumnas Pferde und erstickten ihn dann unter einem dichten Pfeilhagel. Als der mächtige Sohn von Pañcāla sah, dass sein Wagen kampfunfähig war, sprang er sogleich herab und bestieg rasch den Wagen des hochgesinnten Satyaki.
