Arjuna–Bhīṣma Strategic Engagement and Mutual Arrow-Interdiction (भीष्मार्जुनसमागमः)

तस्मिन्‌ समुत्थिते शब्दे तुमुले लोमहर्षणे । भीमसेनो महाबाहु: प्राणदद्‌ गोवृषो यथा,उस रोमांचकारी भयंकर शब्दके प्रकट होते ही महाबाहु भीमसेन साँड़की भाँति गर्जने लगे

tasmin samutthite śabde tumule lomaharṣaṇe | bhīmaseno mahābāhuḥ prāṇadad govṛṣo yathā ||

Sañjaya sprach: Kaum war jenes tobende, schauererregende Dröhnen aufgestiegen, da brüllte der starkarmige Bhīmasena wie ein Stier inmitten der Herde—und beantwortete den Schrecken des Schlachtfeldes mit furchtloser Kraft und Entschlossenheit.
