Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
गाव: स्वर्गस्य सोपानं गाव: स्वर्गेडपि पूजिता: । गाव: कामदुहो देव्यो नान्यत् किंचित् परं स्मृतम्,गौएँ स्वर्गकी सीढ़ी हैं। गौएँ स्वर्गमें भी पूजी जाती हैं। गौएँ समस्त कामनाओं को पूर्ण करनेवाली देवियाँ हैं। उनसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई नहीं है
gāvaḥ svargasya sopānaṃ gāvaḥ svarge ’pi pūjitāḥ | gāvaḥ kāmaduhō devyo nānyat kiñcit paraṃ smṛtam ||
Vyavana sprach: „Kühe sind die Stufen, die zum Himmel führen; selbst im Himmel werden sie verehrt. Kühe sind göttliche Wunscherfüllerinnen, die Gewünschtes gewähren. Nichts wird als höher denn sie in Erinnerung gehalten.“
