शिखी मुण्डी जटी ज्वाली मूर्तिजो मूर्द्धनो बली । वेणवी पणवी ताली खली कालकटंकट:

śikhī muṇḍī jaṭī jvālī mūrtijo mūrdhano balī | veṇavī paṇavī tālī khalī kāla-kaṭaṅkaṭaḥ ||

Vāyu-deva sprach: „Er ist der mit dem Haarknoten, der Kahlgeschorene, der Träger verfilzter Locken, und der im heiligen Feuer lodernde; Er erscheint in leiblicher Gestalt und ist am Scheitel (dem höchsten geistigen Zentrum) zu betrachten; Er ist mächtig. Er ist der Flötenspieler, der Trommler und der Hüter des Taktes; Er ist der Herr der Tenne und der, der selbst die Macht des Todes (Yama) verhüllt.“
