एवं व्युष्टिमहं प्राप्तो ब्राह्मणस्य प्रसादजाम् । यच्च मामाह भीष्मो<यं तत्सत्यं भरतर्षभ
evaṁ vyuṣṭim ahaṁ prāpto brāhmaṇasya prasādajām | yac ca mām āha bhīṣmo 'yaṁ tat satyaṁ bharatarṣabha ||
„So erlangte ich einen herrlichen Lohn, geboren aus der gnädigen Gunst eines Brāhmaṇa. Und was immer dieser Bhīṣma über mich sagt, o Stier unter den Bhāratas, ist ganz und gar wahr.“
