भवन्तु सत्कृतानीह पूर्वमेव प्रचोदित: । ततोऊहं ज्वलमानं वै पायसं प्रत्यवेदयम्‌

Transliteration

bhavantu satkṛtānīha pūrvam eva pracoditaḥ | tato ’haṃ jvalamānaṃ vai pāyasaṃ pratyavedayam ||

Translation

Vāyu sprach: „Da ich ihre Absicht im Voraus kannte, hatte ich die Hausleute bereits angewiesen, mit gebührender Ehrfurcht allerlei Speisen und Erfrischungen vorzubereiten, die vorzüglich und ausreichend seien. Weil alles nach meinem Geheiß bereitstand, bot ich dem Weisen sodann einen dampfend heißen Pāyasa, Milchreis, dar.“
