Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the value of prompt, practical action guided by wise instruction. In dharmic narratives, protection and the prevention of harm often depend not only on good intentions but on timely obedience to counsel that is meant to avert imminent danger.

After tasting a small amount of the rice-pudding, the speaker immediately instructs Kṛṣṇa to smear the pāyasa over his entire body. The urgency suggests a protective or preventative purpose, as if the substance is to function as a safeguard in the situation being described.
