स सम्भुड्क्ते सहस्राणां बहूनामन्नमेकदा । एकदा सोअल्पकं भुड्धक्ते न चैवैति पुनर्गहान्
sa sambhuṅkte sahasrāṇāṃ bahūnām annam ekadā | ekadā so 'lpakaṃ bhuṅkte na caivaiti punar gṛhān |
Vāyu-deva sprach: „Mitunter verzehrte er in einer einzigen Mahlzeit so viel, dass es viele Tausende hätte sättigen können. Zu anderen Zeiten aß er nur wenig und ging dann fort; und an einem solchen Tag kehrte er nicht wieder nach Hause zurück.“
