अजुन उवाच जीवाम्यहं ब्राह्मणार्थ सर्वथा सततं प्रभो | ब्रह्माण्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्ष प्रणणमामि च नित्यश:

arjuna uvāca jīvāmy ahaṃ brāhmaṇārthaṃ sarvathā satataṃ prabho | brahmaṇyo brāhmaṇebhyaś ca praṇamāmi ca nityaśaḥ ||

Arjuna sprach: O Herr, auf jede Weise und zu jeder Zeit trage ich mein Leben um der Brāhmaṇas willen. Ich bin dem Heiligen und dem Brahmanischen ergeben, und täglich verneige ich mich in Ehrfurcht vor den Brāhmaṇas.
