अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
यानि च प्रथितान्यादौ तण्डिराख्यातवान् मम । नामानि मानवश्रेष्ठ तानि त्वं शृणु सिद्धये
yāni ca prathitāny ādau taṇḍir ākhyātavān mama | nāmāni mānavaśreṣṭha tāni tvaṃ śṛṇu siddhaye ||
Vāyu sprach: „O Bester der Menschen, höre zu deiner Vollendung jene Namen, die seit Anbeginn berühmt sind—Namen, die der Weise Taṇḍi mir einst vortrug. Man sagt, ihr Hören verleihe geistige Erfüllung.“
