अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)

ज्ञानविज्ञानयुक्तानां निरुपाख्या निरज्जना | कैवल्या या गतिर्देव परमा सा गतिर्भवान्‌,देव! ज्ञान और विज्ञानसे युक्त पुरुषोंको जो सारूप्य आदि नामसे रहित, निरञ्जन एवं कैवल्यरूप परमगति प्राप्त होती है, वह आप ही हैं

jñānavijñānayuktānāṁ nirupākhyā nirajjanā | kaivalyā yā gatir deva paramā sā gatir bhavān ||

Vāyu sprach: „O Deva, das höchste Ziel, das jene erreichen, die sowohl Wissen als auch verwirklichte Einsicht besitzen—frei von allen begrenzenden Benennungen wie ‘sārūpya’ und dergleichen, makellos und einsam wie kaivalya—dieses höchste Ziel bist niemand anders als du selbst.“
