ऋषिर्मेधातिथे: पुत्र: कण्वो बर्हिषदस्तथा । ब्रह्मतेजोमया: सर्वे कीर्तिता लोकभावना:
ṛṣir medhātitheḥ putraḥ kaṇvo barhiṣadas tathā | brahma-tejomayāḥ sarve kīrtitā loka-bhāvanāḥ ||
Bhishma sprach: „Auch Kaṇva, der Sohn des Medhātithi, und Barhiṣad sind zu nennen. All diese Weisen werden gerühmt als erfüllt von der Herrlichkeit des Brahman — als Stützen der Welt und Wohltäter der Schöpfung.“
