मुनयश्वैव सिद्धाश्च॒ तपोमोक्षपरायणा: । शुचिस्मिता: कीर्तयतां प्रयच्छन्ति शुभं नृूणाम्
munayaś caiva siddhāś ca tapo-mokṣa-parāyaṇāḥ | śuci-smitāḥ kīrtayatāṃ prayacchanti śubhaṃ nṝṇām ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „Die Weisen und Vollendeten—dem Askeseweg und der Befreiung hingegeben—rein und sanft lächelnd, gewähren den Menschen heilsames Glück, die ihre Namen rezitieren und rühmend verkünden.“
भीष्म उवाच
Honoring and praising spiritually accomplished beings—sages and siddhas devoted to tapas and moksha—brings auspicious results, emphasizing reverence for virtue and spiritual attainment as a source of ethical uplift.
Bhishma continues his instruction in Anushasana Parva by describing classes of exalted beings; here he highlights munis and siddhas and states that those who recite and celebrate them receive beneficial, auspicious outcomes.
