Shloka 153

इत्येते द्वादशादित्या: काश्यपेया इति श्रुति: । वेदके शतरुद्रिय प्रकरणमें महात्मा रुद्रके सैकड़ों नाम बताये गये हैं। अंश

ity ete dvādaśādityāḥ kāśyapeyā iti śrutiḥ |

Bhīṣma sprach: „So sind dies die zwölf Ādityas; die śruti (die offenbarte Überlieferung) erklärt, sie seien Söhne des Kaśyapa.“ In diesem Zusammenhang ordnet die Lehre die Sonnengottheiten in eine heilige Genealogie ein und betont, dass die kosmische Ordnung durch anerkannte göttliche Linien und durch autoritative Offenbarung getragen wird.
