ब्रह्मस्वहरण-निषेधः — Prohibition of Appropriating Brahmin Property

Brahmasva

दानै: पृथग्विधेश्वापि यथा प्राहुर्मनीषिण: । गृहस्थ मनुष्य वेद-शास्त्रोंके स्वाध्यायद्वारा तथा नाना प्रकारके दानोंसे अपने महान्‌ पापको दूर कर देते हैं। जैसा कि मनीषी पुरुषोंका कथन है

dānaiḥ pṛthagvidheṣv api yathā prāhur manīṣiṇaḥ | gṛhasthaḥ manuṣyaḥ veda-śāstrayoḥ svādhyāyadvārā tathā nānā-prakārakaiḥ dānaiḥ svaṃ mahān pāpaṃ dūraṃ karoti, yathā manīṣi-puruṣāṇāṃ kathanam |

Der Cāṇḍāla sagt: «Wie die Weisen lehren, kann selbst durch Gaben verschiedener Art ein Hausvater—durch das disziplinierte Selbststudium (svādhyāya) der Veden und der Śāstras und durch vielfältige Wohltätigkeit—große Sünde vertreiben. So haben es die Einsichtigen überliefert.»
