अध्याय ९५: चित्राङ्गदस्य गन्धर्वेण सह संग्रामः तथा विचित्रवीर्यस्य राज्याभिषेकः
Chitrāṅgada’s duel with the Gandharva and Vicitravīrya’s consecration
तत्रावसन् बहून् कालान् भारता दुर्गमाश्रिता: । तेषां निवसतां तत्र सहस्रं परिवत्सरान्,वहाँ उस दुर्गका आश्रय लेकर भरतवंशी क्षत्रिय बहुत वर्षोतक टिके रहे। उन सबको वहाँ रहते हुए एक हजार वर्ष बीत गये
tatrāvasan bahūn kālān bhāratā durgamāśritāḥ | teṣāṃ nivasatāṃ tatra sahasraṃ parivatsarān |
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Dort verweilten die Krieger der Bharatas, nachdem sie in einer unzugänglichen Festung Zuflucht genommen hatten, lange Zeit. Und während sie dort lebten, vergingen volle tausend Jahre.
