अध्याय ९५: चित्राङ्गदस्य गन्धर्वेण सह संग्रामः तथा विचित्रवीर्यस्य राज्याभिषेकः

Chitrāṅgada’s duel with the Gandharva and Vicitravīrya’s consecration

ऋक्ष॑ धूमिन्यथो नीली दुष्यन्तपरमेष्ठिनौ । केशिन्यजनयज्जह्ुं सुतौ व्रजनरूपिणौ,उनकी धूमिनी नामवाली स्त्रीने ऋक्षको, नीलीने दुष्यन्‍्त और परमेष्ठीको तथा केशिनीने जहु, व्रजन तथा रूपिण इन तीन पुत्रोंको जन्म दिया

Ṛkṣaṃ dhūminy atho nīlī duṣyanta-paramēṣṭhinau | Keśiny ajanayaj Jahuṃ sutau Vrajana-rūpiṇau ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Dhūminī gebar Ṛkṣa; Nīlī gebar Duṣyanta und Parameṣṭhin; und Keśinī gebar Jahu, Vrajana und Rūpiṇ. So wurde die Linie durch diese Söhne fortgeführt und die geordnete Weitergabe von Nachfolge und Verantwortung im Hause bekräftigt.
