ययातिरुवाच यदर्हों5हं तद् यतध्व॑ं सन्त: सत्याभिनन्दिन: । अहं तन्नाभिजानामि यत् कृतं न मया पुरा,ययाति बोले--मैं जिसके योग्य हूँ, उसीके लिये यत्न करो; क्योंकि साधु पुरुष सत्यका ही अभिनन्दन करते हैं। मैंने पूर्वकालमें जो कर्म नहीं किया, उसे अब भी करनेयोग्य नहीं समझता
Translation
Yayāti sprach: „Ihr Frommen, die ihr die Wahrheit preist, bemüht euch um das, was mir gebührt. Was ich früher nicht getan habe, halte ich auch jetzt nicht für etwas, das ich tun sollte.“
