Educational Q&A

The verse establishes ethical and textual authority: a teaching gains weight when it is presented as the well-considered view of a universally revered sage, emphasizing humility before wisdom and fidelity in transmission.

The narrator Vaiśampāyana signals a transition: he is about to present, in full, Vyāsa’s complete opinion/teaching, highlighting Vyāsa’s stature and unfading spiritual power to prepare the listener for an authoritative account.
