Aṃśāvataraṇa-kathana (Catalog of Divine/Asuric Portions in Human Births) — Chapter 61
अस्माभि: खाण्डवप्रस्थे युष्मद्वासो 5नुचिन्तित: । तस्माज्जनपदोपेतं सुविभक्तमहापथम्
asmābhiḥ khāṇḍavaprasthē yuṣmadvāso 'nucintitaḥ | tasmāj janapadopetaṃ suvibhaktamahāpatham ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: „Wir haben, wohlüberlegt, euren Aufenthalt in Khāṇḍavaprastha eingerichtet. Daher ist es eine dicht besiedelte Gegend, mit großen Heerstraßen, die ordentlich angelegt und klar gegliedert sind—geeignet für geordnete Ansiedlung und Herrschaft.“
