Synopsis of the Pāṇḍava–Kaurava Estrangement

नृगस्य यज्ञस्त्वजमीढस्य चासीदू यथा यज्ञो दाशरथेश्ष राज्ञ: | तथा यज्ञोड्यं तव भारताग्रय पारिक्षित स्वस्ति नोअस्तु प्रियेभ्य:,परीक्षितकुमार! राजा नृग, राजा अजमीढ़ और महाराज दशरथनन्दन श्रीरामचन्द्रजीने जिस प्रकार यज्ञ किया था, वैसा ही तुम्हारा यह यज्ञ भी है। हमारे प्रियजनोंका कल्याण हो

nṛgasya yajñas tv ajamīḍhasya cāsīd yathā yajño dāśarathes tu rājyāḥ | tathā yajño ’yaṃ tava bhāratāgrya pārīkṣita svasti no ’stu priyebhyaḥ pārīkṣitakumāra ||

Āstīka sprach: „Wie einst König Nṛga und König Ajamīḍha ihre berühmten Opfer darbrachten und wie das Opfer des königlichen, aus Daśaratha geborenen Rāma gerühmt wurde, so ist auch dieses Opfer das deine, o Vornehmster unter den Bhāratas, o Pārīkṣita. Wohlergehen sei unseren Lieben beschieden, o Prinz Pārīkṣita.“
