उग्रश्रवाः सूतः नैमिषारण्ये — Sauti at Naimiṣāraṇya

सत्यवादी शमपरस्तपस्वी नियतव्रतः । सर्वेषामेव नो मान्य: स तावत् प्रतिपाल्यताम्,उग्रश्रवाजीके द्वारा महाभारतकी कथा वे सदा सत्य बोलनेवाले, मन और इन्द्रियोंके संयममें तत्पर, तपस्वी और नियमपूर्वक व्रतको निबाहनेवाले हैं। वे हम सभी लोगोंके लिये सम्माननीय हैं; अतः जबतक उनका आना न हो, तबतक प्रतीक्षा कीजिये
Transliteration
satyavādī śamaparas tapasyī niyatavrataḥ | sarveṣām eva no mānyaḥ sa tāvat pratipālyatām ||
Translation
Uttanka sprach: „Er ist wahrhaftig, der inneren Ruhe und Selbstzucht zugetan, ein Asket und standhaft in der Disziplin seiner Gelübde. Er ist von uns allen zu ehren; darum soll man seiner harren und ihn empfangen—wartet, bis er eintrifft.“
