Nāga-prādhānya-nāma-kathana

तच्छुत्वा देवराजस्य कश्यपो<5थ प्रजापति: । वालखिल्यानुपागम्य कर्मसिद्धिमपृच्छत,देवराज इन्द्रके मुखसे उनका संकल्प सुनकर प्रजापति कश्यप वालखिल्योंके पास गये और उनसे उस कर्मकी सिद्धिके सम्बन्धमें प्रश्न किया

tac chrutvā devarājasya kaśyapo 'tha prajāpatiḥ | vālakhilyān upāgamya karmasiddhim apṛcchata ||

Als Prajāpati Kaśyapa den Entschluss Indras, des Königs der Götter, vernahm, trat er zu den Weisen der Vālakhilyas und fragte sie nach der rechten Weise, jenes Ritual erfolgreich zu vollenden. Die Begebenheit zeigt, dass selbst die Mächtigen Führung in asketischer Weisheit suchen und dass die Wirksamkeit des Handelns von der richtigen Methode, legitimer Autorität und disziplinierter Absicht abhängt.
