Nāga-prādhānya-nāma-kathana

एवमस्त्विति त॑ चापि प्रत्यूचु: सत्यवादिन: । तान्‌ कश्यप उवाचेदं सान्त्वपूर्व प्रजापति:,सत्यवादी महर्षि वालखिल्योंने “हाँ ऐसी ही बात है” कहकर अपने कर्मकी सिद्धिका प्रतिपादन किया। तब प्रजापति कश्यपने उन्हें सान्त्वनापूर्वक समझाते हुए कहा --

evam astv iti te cāpi pratyūcuḥ satyavādinaḥ | tān kaśyapa uvācedaṃ sāntvapūrvaḥ prajāpatiḥ ||

„So sei es“, erwiderten jene wahrhaft sprechenden Weisen zustimmend. Daraufhin wandte sich Prajāpati Kaśyapa, der sie zunächst besänftigen und versöhnen wollte, mit sanften, beruhigenden Worten an sie, stellte ihren Entschluss in eine größere sittliche Ordnung und mahnte zu Standhaftigkeit im rechten Wandel.
