„Darum sind deine Welten um der Zeugung willen verhüllt. Zeuge zuerst Nachkommenschaft; dann wirst du die reichen Früchte deiner verdienstvollen Welten in Fülle genießen.“
मन्दपाल उवाच
The verse emphasizes the dharmic priority of generating progeny: fulfillment of one’s higher enjoyments or posthumous rewards is portrayed as contingent upon completing the responsibility of continuing the lineage. Ethical life is framed as duty-first, reward-after.
Mandapāla addresses another person (implicitly his partner), urging that their access to auspicious realms is ‘covered’ until the purpose of childbirth is met; he instructs that offspring should be produced first, and only then can the fruits of accumulated merit be enjoyed.
