चक्र व्यसृजदत्युग्रं तेषां नाशाय केशव: । तब महाबाहु श्रीकृष्णने अपने तेजसे प्रकाशित होनेवाले उस अत्यन्त भयंकर महान्‌ चक्रको उन दैत्य आदि प्राणियोंके विनाशके लिये छोड़ा

cakraṁ vyasṛjad atyugraṁ teṣāṁ nāśāya keśavaḥ |

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Keśava (Śrī Kṛṣṇa), der Mächtigarmige, schleuderte sein überaus furchtbares Diskus, um jene Wesen zu vernichten. Die Tat betont den Einsatz überwältigender göttlicher Gewalt als schützende und strafende Maßnahme, wenn feindliche Mächte die Ordnung des Dharma bedrohen.
