त॑ न भेतव्यमित्याह मयं पार्थो दयापर:,अर्जुनके मनमें दया आ गयी थी, अतः उन्होंने मयासुरसे फिर कहा--'तुम्हें डरना नहीं चाहिये”
taṁ na bhetavyam ity āha mayaṁ pārtho dayāparaḥ | arjunake manameṁ dayā ā gaī thī, ataḥ unhoṁne mayāsur se phir kahā—“tumheṁ ḍarnā nahīṁ cāhiye” ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Da sagte Pārtha (Arjuna), vor allem von Mitgefühl bewegt, erneut zu Maya: „Du brauchst dich nicht zu fürchten.“
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Compassion is presented as a dharmic strength: even when one has power, one should remove fear from others and act with restraint and protection rather than intimidation.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Arjuna, feeling compassion, addresses Maya again and reassures him directly: “Do not be afraid,” indicating a shift from potential threat to safety and goodwill.
