Śārṅgakānāṃ Avināśaḥ (Why the Śārṅga Birds Were Spared) | शार्ङ्गकानामविनाशः

एकवर्षनन्तरास्त्वेते द्रौपदेया यशस्विन: । अन्वजायन्त राजेन्द्र परस्परहितैषिण:,राजेन्द्र! ये यशस्वी द्रौपदीकुमार एक-एक वर्षके अन्तरसे उत्पन्न हुए थे और एक- दूसरेका हित चाहनेवाले थे

ekavarṣānantārās tv ete draupadeyā yaśasvinaḥ | anvajāyanta rājendra parasparahitaiṣiṇaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O Bester der Könige, diese ruhmreichen Söhne Draupadīs wurden in Abständen von je einem Jahr nacheinander geboren, und sie waren einander in Wohlwollen zugetan.“
