स नागभवने रात्रि तामुषित्वा प्रतापवान् | उदिते< भ्युत्थित: सूर्ये कौरव्यस्य निवेशनात्,प्रतापी अर्जुनने नागराजके घरमें ही वह रात्रि व्यतीत की। फिर सूर्योदय होनेपर वे कौरव्यके भवनसे ऊपरको उठे
sa nāgabhavane rātriṃ tām uṣitvā pratāpavān | udite 'bhyutthitaḥ sūrye kauravyasya niveśanāt ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem der Tapfere jene Nacht in der Wohnstatt des Nāga-Königs verbracht hatte—strahlend an Kraft und Ruhm—erhob er sich bei Sonnenaufgang und trat aus der Residenz der Kaurava hervor, dem natürlichen Lauf der Zeit folgend.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined, orderly conduct: the hero completes his stay respectfully and departs at the proper time (sunrise), suggesting restraint, mindfulness of time, and propriety even in unusual settings.
After spending the night in the Nāga-king’s abode, the valiant figure rises at sunrise and emerges from the Kaurava’s residence, indicating the transition from a night’s lodging to onward movement in the story.
