Chapter 213
तदिदं द्रौपदीहेतोरन्योन्यस्य प्रवासनम्,अतः आपके बड़े भाईने वहाँ धर्मकी रक्षाके लिये केवल द्रौपदीको निमित्त बनाकर यह एक-दूसरेके प्रवासका नियम बनाया है। यहाँ आपका धर्म दूषित नहीं होता। विशाल नेत्रोंवाले अर्जुन! आपको आर्त प्राणियोंकी रक्षा करनी चाहिये
tad idaṃ draupadī-hetor anyonyasya pravāsanam | ataḥ āpake baṛe bhrātāne tatra dharmasya rakṣāyai kevalaṃ draupadīṃ nimittaṃ kṛtvā idaṃ paraspara-pravāsa-niyamaṃ kṛtaḥ | atra tava dharmo dūṣito na bhavati | viśāla-netra arjuna! tvayā ārta-prāṇināṃ rakṣā kartavyā |
Diese wechselseitige Regel der Verbannung wurde um Draupadī willen eingesetzt. Darum machte dein ältester Bruder, um das Dharma zu wahren, Draupadī nur zum Vorwand und setzte diese Ordnung des gegenseitigen Exils fest. Dabei wird dein Dharma nicht befleckt. O Arjuna mit den großen Augen, du musst die bedrängten Wesen schützen.
