Grāha-Encounter at Saubhadra Tīrtha

रत्नै: प्रलो भयामासुः स्त्रीभि श्वो भौ पुन: पुनः । नच तौ चक्रतुर्भड़ं व्रतस्य सुमहाव्रती,उन्होंने बार-बार रत्नोंके ढेर तथा सुन्दरी स्त्रियोंकों भेज-भेजकर उन दोनोंको प्रलोभनमें डालनेकी चेष्टा की; किंतु उन महान्‌ व्रतधारी दैत्योंने अपने तपको भंग नहीं किया

ratnaiḥ pralobhayāmāsuḥ strībhiś caiva punaḥ punaḥ | na ca tau cakratur bhaṅgaṁ vratasya sumahāvratī ||

Immer wieder versuchten sie, jene beiden zu verführen, indem sie ihnen abermals und abermals Haufen von Juwelen und schöne Frauen sandten. Doch die beiden mächtigen Bewahrer großer Gelübde ließen ihre Askese nicht brechen und blieben standhaft in ihrer Zucht.
