खाण्डवप्रस्थप्रवेशः तथा इन्द्रप्रस्थनिर्माणवर्णनम् | Entry into Khāṇḍavaprastha and Description of Indraprastha’s Founding

ब्रह्मरूपधराउचदूत्वा प्रशान्तान्‌ पाण्डुनन्दनान्‌ | कौन्तेयान्‌ मनुजेन्द्राणां विस्मप: समजायत,ब्राह्मणगका रूप धारण करके प्रशान्तभावसे बैठे हुए वे वीर पुरुष कुन्तीपुत्र पाण्डव ही थे, यह सुनकर वहाँ आये हुए राजाओंको बड़ा आश्वर्य हुआ

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | brahmarūpadharā uccadūtvā praśāntān pāṇḍunandanān | kaunteyān manujendrāṇāṃ vismapaḥ samajāyata ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als verkündet wurde, dass jene ruhigen, selbstbeherrschten Helden, die dort in der Verkleidung von Brāhmaṇas saßen, in Wahrheit die Pāṇḍava-Brüder seien, die Söhne Pāṇḍus—Kuntīs Söhne—, erhob sich unter den versammelten Königen großes Staunen. Der Augenblick zeigt, wie äußere Erscheinung wahren Wert verbergen kann und wie Zucht und Gelassenheit mit königlicher Macht zusammengehen.
