गूढपाण्डवदर्शनम् — The Hidden Pāṇḍavas and Kṛṣṇa’s Visit
दर्शनीयांश्व॒ व: सर्वान् देवरूपानवस्थितान् | समीक्ष्य कृष्णा वरयेत् संगत्यैकतमं वरम्,आप सब लोगोंका रूप तो देवताओंके समान है, आप सभी दर्शनीय हैं, आपलोगोंको (वहाँ उपस्थित) देखकर द्रौपदी दैवयोगसे आपमेंसे ही किसी एकको अपना वर चुन सकती है
darśanīyānś ca vaḥ sarvān devarūpān avasthitān | samīkṣya kṛṣṇā varayet saṅgatyaikatamaṃ varam ||
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „Ihr alle seid des Anblicks würdig—hier stehend in Gestalten gleich den Göttern. Wenn Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) euch versammelt sieht, mag sie, durch die Macht des Geschicks, aus eurer Mitte einen zum Gemahl erwählen.“
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights the interplay of personal choice and daiva (destiny): even in a socially structured act like selecting a husband, outcomes are portrayed as guided by fate, while the speaker frames the situation in terms of propriety and admiration rather than coercion.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses those present, praising their godlike appearance and suggesting that Draupadī, upon seeing them gathered, may—by destiny—choose one among them as her husband.
