Ūrva uvāca | sampūrṇakośāḥ kila me mātaraḥ pitaras tathā | bhayāt sarveṣu lokeṣu nādhijagmuḥ parāyaṇam | tataḥ vasiṣṭhādayaḥ sarve munayas tatra menire | tejasā dīpyamānaṃ vai dvitīyam iva bhāskaram |

Educational Q&A

Fear can drive even the most protected or privileged into restless flight, yet true refuge is not found by mere movement across realms; it is associated with dharmic protection and the stabilizing presence of realized sages whose tejas inspires confidence and order.

Aurva describes a crisis in which his kin—mothers and fathers—flee in fear through various worlds without finding shelter. In that setting, the assembled sages led by Vasiṣṭha perceive a great seer blazing with spiritual radiance, compared to a second sun.
