Vasiṣṭha as Purohita: Ascetic Mastery and Royal Counsel
तान् भीतान् विगतज्ञानान् भीम: प्रहरतां वर: । सान्त्वयामास बलवान् समये च न्यवेशयत्
tān bhītān vigatajñānān bhīmaḥ praharatāṃ varaḥ | sāntvayāmāsa balavān samaye ca nyaveśayat ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als er sie verängstigt und des klaren Urteils beraubt sah, setzte Bhīma—der Vortrefflichste unter den Schlagenden—seine Kraft nicht bloß zum Strafen ein, sondern zum Festigen: Er beruhigte die Erschrockenen und stellte sie zur rechten Zeit wieder in die gebührende Ordnung.
