Vaiśampāyana sprach: So verging, während jene großgesinnten Männer in jenem Reich lebten, eine überaus lange Zeit, o Bester der Bhāratas, Kronjuwel des Bharata-Geschlechts.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical value of patient endurance: even for great souls, dharma is often sustained through long periods of quiet living, restraint, and perseverance as time unfolds.
Vaiśampāyana notes that while the Pāṇḍavas were residing in a certain kingdom, a long span of time elapsed; the narrator addresses the listener with honorific epithets of the Bharata lineage.
