सहधर्मचरीं दान्तां नित्यं मातृसमां मम । सखायं विद्िितां देवैर्नित्यं परमिकां गतिम्‌,प्रिये! तुम मेरी सहधर्मिणी और इन्द्रियोंकों संयममें रखनेवाली हो। सदा सावधान रहकर माताके समान मेरा पालन-पोषण करती हो। देवताओंने तुम्हें मेरी सखी (सहायिका) बनाया है। तुम सदा मेरी परम गति (सबसे बड़ा सहारा) हो

sahadharmacārīṃ dāntāṃ nityaṃ mātṛsamāṃ mama | sakhāyaṃ viditāṃ devair nityaṃ paramikāṃ gatiṃ, priye! |

Der Brahmane sprach: „Geliebte, du bist meine Gefährtin im Dharma — selbstbeherrscht und standhaft. Stets wachsam sorgst du für mich und erhältst mich wie eine Mutter. Die Götter selbst haben dich zu meiner Freundin und Helferin bestimmt. Du bist immer meine höchste Zuflucht, mein erhabenster Halt.“
