Post–Baka-vadha Residence and the Introduction of Yājñasenī’s Svayaṃvara
As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction; it frames the preceding episode as a completed unit. Ethically, the surrounding narrative is remembered as the removal of a predatory threat (Hiḍimba) and the restoration of safety, aligning force with protective duty rather than aggression.
This line signals the end of the chapter and identifies its placement: Ādi Parva, within the Hiḍimba-slaying section, specifically the battle with Hiḍimba. It functions as an editorial marker concluding the Hiḍimba conflict episode.
