Post-slaying Stabilization after Baka’s Death
The verse highlights an ethical polarity: the rākṣasa’s joy at harming humans represents adharma—life driven by appetite and violence—setting up a moral contrast with the human dharmic order that such predation endangers.
A powerful, gigantic rākṣasa detects the smell of a human, becomes excited at the chance of obtaining human flesh, and then addresses his sister, initiating the next action in the episode.
