Kuntī–Yudhiṣṭhira Dialogue on Bhīma’s Mission

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how extreme hardship exposes human limits and calls for reliance on strength, guidance, and solidarity. Ethically, it points to perseverance and the duty of the capable (here, Bhīma) to lead and protect when others are weakened.

The group, exhausted and disoriented in a dense forest, speaks again to Bhīma. They describe their plight: they cannot even determine directions and are unable to proceed, implicitly asking Bhīma to take charge and find a way forward.
