Vaiśampāyana sprach: „So steige du auf einen schnellen Wagen, mit Maultieren bespannt, und sorge dafür, dass du noch heute Vāraṇāvata erreichst.“
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethics of duty and prompt execution of entrusted tasks—especially the responsibility of a messenger or agent to act swiftly and accurately. In the wider narrative, it also invites reflection on whether obedience should be tempered by moral discernment when commands serve questionable ends.
A directive is being issued to someone to depart immediately in a fast mule-drawn chariot and reach Vāraṇāvata the same day. The line functions as a logistical order within the unfolding events surrounding travel to Vāraṇāvata.
