ध्रुवमस्मत्सहायास्ते भविष्यन्ति प्रधानतः । अर्थवर्ग: सहामात्यो मत्संस्थोड्द्य महीपते,अब निश्चय ही वे लोग मुख्यतासे हमारे सहायक होंगे। राजन! इस समय खजाना और मन्त्रिमण्डल हमारे ही अधीन हैं
dhruvam asmat-sahāyās te bhaviṣyanti pradhānataḥ | artha-vargaḥ sahāmātyo mat-saṃstho 'dya mahīpate ||
Duryodhana sprach: „Gewiss, im Wesentlichen werden sie unsere Verbündeten werden. O König, gegenwärtig stehen Schatzkammer und der Kreis der Minister unter meiner Kontrolle.“
दुर्योधन उवाच
The verse highlights how political confidence is often grounded in control of resources and administration—treasury and ministers—raising an ethical contrast between power-based legitimacy and dharma-based legitimacy.
Duryodhana reassures the king he is addressing that key people will side with them, emphasizing that the financial resources and the ministerial establishment are presently under his control, strengthening their political position.
